In anticipation for the movie John Carter, I decided to draw the Princess of Mars herself, Dejah Thoris. Heavily influenced by one of Adam Hughes' great con sketches of her.
A wonderful mentor and artist by the name of Kent Burles also gave me inspiration for this piece. I tend to struggle with environments and he is constantly pushing me so that made me actually add an environment to this piece which I think brought the piece together and gave it that much more ''umphf''
This piece is also currently being inked by a friend of mine.
